AUBREE B. NELSON

FOUNDER/ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Baltimore native, Aubree Brown Nelson, honed her craft at the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts and also attended elite summer intensives including the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, PENNSYLVANIA REGIONAL BALLET, and the Ailey Summer Intensive as a Fellowship Scholar. She furthered her training at SUNY Purchase College, where she earned her B.F.A. in Dance Performance. At SUNY, Aubree studied various styles, including Classical and Balanchine for ballet, as well as Graham, Cunningham, Limón, and an original technique by the beloved Kevin Wynn for modern dance. Aubree's dedication and talent have allowed her to collaborate with renowned choreographers such as Troy Powell, Jessica Lang, Ray Mercer, Dwight Rhoden, Desmond Richardson, Jennifer Archibald, Amy Hall Garner, OTIS SALLID, TESSANDRA CHAVEZ, Rich & Tone, Anthony Burrell, JaQuel Knight, Oth'than Burnside, Sarah O'Gleby, Chris Bailey, and Kevin Maher and more!

In 2013, Aubree launched her professional career with Ailey II, and she has since thrived as a freelance dancer and model, now represented by Bloc - NYC. Her standout performances include working with major artists like Beyoncé, lil mo’, silento, cnco and Becky G, appearing on SNL the tonight show with Jimmy Fallon, Chicago The Musical National Tour, nbc nye w/julianne hough, macy’s thanksgiving day parade, just to name a few.

In addition to her dance career, Aubree has appeared in numerous high-profile campaigns and commercials, including collaborations with Panera Bread, Samsung, and New York Presbyterian Hospital. She has also been featured in Amazon Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and currently appears on the Chicago The Musical billboard in Times Square. With additional campaigns for Shea Moisture, Exhale Spa, and Heineken, Aubree continues to make her mark as a dynamic force in both the dance and commercial industries.

Aubree's passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers drives her commitment to giving back. This vision led her to create Next Level Artistry. She believes Baltimore is rich with talent and aims to help aspiring artists elevate their craft and pursue successful careers in the arts.
